Here at ANU students won their campaign for ANU to divest from one coal seam gas company, Metgasco, and pushed the reluctant administration to disclose its substantial exposure to coal, oil and gas. In the process they found that while divesting from Metgasco, ANU was shamefully buying more shares in another coal seam gas company, Santos.
The Fossil Free ANU campaign continues to grow, with unanimous support from the student union, and continued pressure on ANU Council. They are now joined by students on university campuses across the country in asking their Universities to come clean on their carbon exposure and go fossil free. The students of ANU Environment Collective are here tonight, and would love you to sign up in support of their efforts.
